ICH SAGE, DASS ES (M)EIN RUSSISCHER ABEND IST by Anna Melnikova (Berlin/Moscow)

Anna Melnikova & Dr. Bajan. Russischer abend from annamelnikova on Vimeo.

Anna Melnikova is born in Russia. She studied socialist folk dance in Moscow and contemporary choreography in Berlin. In her solo work that will be shown at the Dresden Dance Week 2012, she is looking into those wildly different aesthetics and connects them to childhood memories as well as her experiences of today. How does a political system form the dance body and how does the dance body influence the mind? A contemporary collage of words, images and movements performed on a traditional wooden stage.

April 22, 2012, 7pm – projekttheater dresden

Supported by Berliner Senat für Kulturelle Angelegenheiten / Interkulturelle Projektarbeit and Hochschule für Schauspielkunst „Ernst Busch“.
