What doesn’t work!

“…an aesthetic event as well as a provocation”
-Badische Zeitung

Berlin based American choreographer and performer Tommy Noonan presents its newest production “What doesn’t work” in Berlin! Please join us from August 16 – 18, 2013 at Dock11.

Here is a little teaser:

“What doesn’t work”…demands just as much from the dancers as from the spectator. Because to appropriately follow the fast-paced arrangement in its quick staccato leaps and constant polymorphism, one needs very open ears and eyes — it is a full-speed, enthralling performance in which the full scope of human sensations is unfolded in dance. Proximity and distance, as well as the utopic and the concrete are interweaved here. At the same time, the dancing itself develops a pure presence independent from an artistic message – an aesthetic event as well as a provocation. The audience reacts simultaneously in different ways: from amused laughter to magnetized watching — comical as well as fascinatingly enigmatic elements of dance all have their place…”
